Jeff Bridges (yes, the actor) has produced a website with pharmaceutical-grade clinical-strength sleep audio tracks. The audio is available online, as a download, or for purchase on cassette and LP record versions. The title of the album is “Jeff Bridges Sleeping Tapes.”
It’s hosted by Squarespace as part of an ingenious advertising campaign that hopes to give people better sleep and feed hungry children — seriously, that’s what their goal is. So, 100% of all sales revenue goes to NoKidHungry.org.
Part of the reason the money goes to charity is because people sleep better when they feel good about having done good. So, this makes the project even more effective.
It may or may not result in more website hosting revenue, but it doesn’t seem like that’s their main concern anyway. Mostly they are doing it as a random act of kindness. The project was promoted during the 2015 Super Bowl.
